#131: I Really Feel Like This Is Where We’re Meant to Be Because We Have All The Guidance and Knowledge. The Best Thing is the Support We’ve Gotten.

Monte: Monte, and this is my wife, Denay. We’re from Florida. For us, we both, I own a business and she works full-time as a teacher, and we have an 18-month-old daughter. She’s 10 weeks pregnant at the moment, which not everybody knows yet, but I guess by the time this gets out, we’ll be good.

But what brought us to this point is we’re trying to get to the point where she can just be at home and not, no longer have to be a teacher. She’s a middle school teacher; it can be tough. So just trying to get to the point where she can just stay at home with the kids and….

Denay: Where both of us can spend more time with the baby and the new baby.

Monte: Exactly. A big part of it, I mean it goes with Freedom Mentors is the freedom aspect of it, which kind of goes with what I was just saying, with her being able to quit her job. It’s just having the freedom to be with your kids, create your own schedule. It’s only been about two and a half months for us. It was a leap of faith. It was definitely a significant investment for us. We went back and forth and did our due diligence and really did as much research as we could before we actually took that leap, so there was definitely some nervousness when we did it. Hindsight and only two and a half months, we’re both very happy that we did it and very pleased that we did.

Denay: We’ve gotten a lot of support, learned a lot and continuing to learn, but the best thing is the support we’ve gotten. And at every step of the way, anytime we needed help, we’ve gotten it, which has been great.
I’d say we’re hoping that through Freedom Mentor we can get the tools and knowledge we need to make it our full-time and long-term financial plan and security through that, through the money we make. So I think that it’s the right path. We’ve learned so much about marketing through Freedom Mentor and to kind of get going and keep it going.

Monte: For me, a little bit back to what I was saying before. Two and a half months ago, I mean it’s a big deal for us, the investment that we made in it. It was significant, especially for us at the time. Looking back on it now, I’m extremely happy that we did, and I feel very confident in our decision. This is exactly what I would want to be saying to myself two and a half months ago, that you made the right choice. And being here, it confirms it, and going through the process, it confirms it because what she touched on earlier, we’ve had all the help that we possibly needed.
I really feel like this is where we’re meant to be and that we can be very successful at it as long as we put in the work that’s needed to do it because we have all the guidance and knowledge with everybody’s already been successful doing it. So as long as we put in the work, there’s really no reason in my mind that we couldn’t be successful.
