#130: All The Team Meetings, Coaching Calls, All Of That Helped Me. It’s Not Fantasy. This Is Worth It.

Hello, my name is Bella. I live in Georgia. Basically, I’m 19 years old. I wasn’t born in the United States, I was born in Dakar, Senegal. I came here when I was age 12, with no English and all that stuff. Basically, I’m an immigrant with an immigrant family. I went to high school. I played high school football.

I was able to get scholarships at Kentucky, Kansas, but I decided to stay in Georgia to walk-on at Georgia Tech. So basically, that was my goal and accomplishment.
I was talking football and all of that and willing hours me of going to a community college to get my grades up to attract a good school. I went to a point that I decided myself to see the major that I chose, is that really what I wanted to do and all that stuff. I chose to be a computer system analysis major. That major is a lot of basically company plus six years and all of that stuff after a master degree.
So, I wanted something to help out my parents because I see the way they work is not easy. For example, my mom is working from 9:00 to 4:00 a.m. My dad’s 4:00 a.m. to 6:00. They got all day shifts, that’s something I saw. They’re aging, so I was like, “I’ve got to do something to help out this house.” That’s how I wanted computer systems analysis, I was “Okay, let them in four years, by the time it’s up, the struggle is going to be hard on them.” So, I decided to join real estate.
But at first, I didn’t find no one to help me out when I come to Mentor because I didn’t know the steps to it, what to do and all that stuff. It was hard. I didn’t know what to do and all of that stuff when it comes to real estate, so it’s hard when I decided to seek out to see what to do at first. I was walking home from calling local investors and asking them, there’s something I could do to help. As it would turn, they help me out to learn, for me to learn the business and how everything goes, but it didn’t work out so well, so I decided to try out doing YouTube and try out what to do on that stuff.
So I’m trying to do all stuff, see video YouTube training what to do. So I decided, I tried it myself. At first it was, I tried it and I didn’t know how to acquire the customers and all that stuff. So one day I came to home, seeing Phil’s video. On the Phil’s videos, at first, I saw it. He has people, and he just talking about something called join his program. Being as curious as I was, I decide to look at reviews and about his program, and all I saw was positive reviews, and I was like, “Okay, I mean, it doesn’t hurt me to join and try.” You know it’s been my story. So then I came to his program and joined it, and ever since.
So basically my first deal was a property in Griffith. It was about four hours away, but I decided, well first one come, first one get it. I didn’t decide now or nothing. So basically this property was about, built in 1920, and ever since 1920 was total rehab. So because of four hours away, I don’t want to do that drive back and forth, so I decide flip that. That’s quick flip to another investor. I was able to make $1,000 of off that. And also the other one was. So basically the big one was this property near me that’s about 15 minutes away from me. The guy basically was inheriting property from his parents and it was a big house, so about eight bedrooms. I was lucky to get that lead with work.
Basically, it was not too complicated because he inherited it. So the coaching from Phil’s team was able to help me out too. I didn’t know the process, the steps to take. Because I wanted to be a good group model. So I was able to flip it, do some minor fixes. There was mold in the basement that I had to get out. Luckily I have friends who were able to help me out. I was able to pay my friends to do the cheap parts, about $600 for mold cleaning, and also lawn care and minor fixes. I was able to sell it for retail buyers for about $30k profit. So I had $30k for that property, because I had to split the money. At the end of the day I was able to make 15 off of that deal that was my first real deal that I closed on, and ever since this is it. I had tears of joy, just knowing I was able to make $15k first with not many hours as basically I did everything on the computer. All the work, customer calls and all that stuff was all on the computer. All the team meetings, coaching calls, all of that helped me.
That first deal, I was like “This is legit”. Now I’m working on three deals that come with good advertising, good leads, good sites. I’ve got about three that I’m working on right now and hopefully I’ll be able to sell those three the same day.
All I’ve got to say about Phil’s team, for anyone who wants to change. It’s not fantasy, you’ve still got to put in the work and be motivated, and have time for yourself to do some. It’s very helpful. Take it from me, a 19 year old college student, doing all this stuff, thanks to that man. Hopefully the same to you.
