#120: The Mentors Here Are Great. They’re Going to Get You to Where You Need to Be, You Just Got to Put Forward the Effort. Once You Put Forward the Effort, They’ll Make It Happen For You. You got to want it too and they’ll make the rest happen for you. It’s Motivating

Well, I’ve been at Freedom Mentor for almost two years. A little over a year and a half, not two years quite. Well, I joined Freedom Mentor because I was just looking into real estate. This was basically my first go around. They taught me from the ground up because I just wanted to learn real estate because I like the freedom that it brings. I even went into my own business because the freedom that it brings for you. The freedom, basically. Then the program name is Freedom Mentor, so I was like, “Hey.”

Well, so far, within my last year and a half, two years, with Freedom Mentor being a great experience. I’ve learned a lot. Even though I’ve probably only did two deals, I’ve learned a lot that give me the even confident to do a lot more. It changed my mindset on how I do stuff. I’m excited for about this year because I’m a lot better than I was before and I closed deals and I wasn’t that good yet, so now I’m a lot more excited about everything.
Well, with this, I would like to be able to help my friends and family and stuff, too. I have an older brother that’s in California. I would like to do more expansion instead of just being in Florida alone, I’d like to do maybe California, do states like Atlanta and stuff like that. But I just got to get me good first before I try to teach anybody else and stuff like that.
The conference is great. I like coming to the conference because you meet a lot of like-minded people. Almost everyone here, they’re either where you are right now, or myself, where I’m at now, or they’re probably where I want to be in two years or three years. It’s just good to come together with people that’s doing the same thing because most of the time we all have the same problem we all faced, so it was just good. It’s motivating to see other people that’s doing good. It’s motivating to see maybe some people you just probably doing better than. It’s just good to be around these type of people. They enjoy being around you too and vice versa. A lot of times we exchange numbers that we keep in touch.
Last year I was here and one lady that met with me, up to this day we’re real tight now. We came back again this year together again. There was a other girl from Minnesota that I met. She’s doing really good herself too out there. Just seeing her do good motivates me to make sure I’m staying on top of myself, too. It’s just cool to be around everybody else that’s doing the same type of stuff.
I think everyone kind of holds off from being a real estate investor because maybe they say, “Well, they don’t have a whole bunch of money or maybe they don’t know what they’re doing.” But once you join and you got the will to go ahead and keep trying, the mentors here are great. They’re going to get you to where you need to be, you just got to put forward the effort. Once you put forward the effort, they’ll make it happen for you. You got to want it too and they’ll make the rest happen for you. That’s what I like about the program. Even though I’m not 100%, right now I don’t still think I’m 100%, but I’m confident enough that I could close a few more deals than I did last year. I’m pretty excited about the future.
