Hi, my name is Ben, and I’m a full-time real estate investor in Tennessee. I became a real estate investor, or went full-time, about a year ago. My family’s kind of been involved in real estate, and I’ve been involved in several businesses in the past. Real estate’s always been something that I’ve been interested in and decided now is the time.
So, for me, in deciding what I do or who I get to coach me in this niche of business, I looked and talked to quite a few different people and was really intrigued with Phil and Freedom Mentor, just because of how candid he is, but very open and seemed very sharp about what the best techniques are and things like that. Pretty transparent with some of those things.
Since becoming part of the apprentice program, I’ve realized there’s a whole lot more depth to it. Part of the reason that I joined a coaching team is that I believe in always growing yourself, becoming a better person, learning from the best, being humble about that, and just putting yourself in a position for success by who you’re following, who you surround yourself with.
And so, for me, that was a big part of the benefit of being coached, and it’s been fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about Phil or about his team. They have amazing, amazing things that I’ve not even scratched the surface of their knowledge and their expertise in these fields.
I’m giving you a testimonial today about a property. It’s the second that I did. There are several more that we’re wrapping up right now. But for the second one, it went very smoothly even though there’s a few hiccups in there that I didn’t expect. I signed up a property, and come to find out that it was in a historic district. Very, very difficult to tear down, next to impossible to completely tear down, and just very limited on what you build, and it was just too much of a process that I didn’t want to get involved in.
And so, I ended up selling it to somebody else. Had a profit on it about $12,000, so it was a great quick deal. I’m just kind of trying to make some connections and helping the seller out.
One of the things that’s very fulfilling about what I do is, I mean, for one, providing for your family and being able to have money to give away, and just invest in charities and things like that. A profit’s always good, but one of the things that I find very fulfilling is helping people in these situations and avoid foreclosure. And so, for me, this was a great seller to work with, and it’s fulfilling to help them out and help them move on.
The deal closed in probably less than a month from when I first talked to the seller until closing and everything was done. It went very quickly which was excellent. I had some input from some of the coaches and they helped me through some of the things here and there, but overall went very, very smoothly. Closing happened, like I said, in less than a month, and it was just a great, great experience.
I would highly recommend Freedom Mentor. I’m a big fan and there’s just so much to learn. Put yourself under incredible people to learn from them. And I really think that in this niche there’s really very few people who even come close to the caliber of what Phil Pustejovsky and the team at Freedom Mentor do.
Thank you guys for all your input and I look forward to dozens and dozens of more deals, but God bless. Thanks.
